Hair thickness, Root taper, Tip taper
How thick each hair is drawn, and how it thins at each end.
Density
At the top of the panel: how much of this object's hair grows, from 0.05 to 10. Lower grows fewer, thicker strands; higher grows more. Applied when you let go.
Buzz cut and short crop
buzz cut grows a short coat over the whole scalp, and short crop a little longer on top. Pick the row in the Hair Manager: Part chooses what the sliders edit (scalp (all), top, bang or fade), each with its length, bend, density and grey, and Strands and Segments are for the whole coat. They grow where the scalp mask is painted: edit mask, or the MASK view, moves the hairline.
TipA hairstyle starts from the library much faster than from zero: pick the nearest cut, then change it.
